48 rich blue sapphires, each faceted and bezel-set
Front and back are identical, each side is finished with 24 blue sapphires
Sapphires fill the cross with 3 smaller sapphires clustered in a triad at each end
Estimated 3.2 tcw
Beautiful tiny milgrained solid 14k gold edges outline the cross,
with decorative goldwork connecting the front and back (see side photo)
Measurements:
Sapphires in the body of the cross measure approx 3mm each
End sapphires in the triad measure 2mm each
Pendant hangs 1.5" including the bale
The cross (without the bale) measures just under 1.25" (1 3/16")
