1883 Harrison Brothers and Company's Town and Country Ready Mixed Paints Advertising Note.3.125 in. x 7 in. Intended to promote sales, Harrison Brothers and Company's advertising note entitles holder to one gallon "and upwards" of Harrison's "Town & Country" ready-mixed paint. Printed to look like a banknote with a scale, monograms and formulation information incorporated into the design. Also known as the Harrison Brothers Chemical Works and the Grays Ferry Chemical Works, this chemical manufacturer was an originator of ready-mix paints for the consumer market. Philadelphia & New York.
