This 2015 Australia 1 oz. Silver High Relief Set of 4 Coins is an outstanding addition to any collection.
The Perth Mint was the third branch of England’s Royal Mint in Australia and was opened in 1899. Today, the Perth Mint is Australia’s premier bullion mint producing a variety of collectibles for stackers and numismatists all over the world.
The obverses of these coins feature the designs from the Perth Mint’s regular bullion coin designs from 2015: the Koala, the Kangaroo, the John Mercanti designed Wedge-Tailed Eagle and the popular Kookaburra. The reverse of each 1 oz. legal tender Australian features the Ian Rank Broadley effigy of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II.
The coins in this set were struck to proof quality using a specialized process and in high relief. This means that they are very detailed and attractive coins produced specifically for collectors. High relief coins have been consistently popular with collectors because of the increased drama of these details strikes.
