Introducing the third and final coin in the Solomon Islands' Ocean Predators series, the 2022 proof-like silver Killer Whale! Known formally as the Orca, the killer whale is the apex predator of the ocean and the world's largest dolphin species!
Issued on behalf of the Solomon Islands, these legal-tender coins were struck by PAMP in two full ounces of highly pure 999.9 silver. The reverse design of the coin depicts a killer whale breaching the surface of the ocean, potentially on the hunt for its next meal. Below the ocean's surface, you can see other marine life swimming along a coral reef. The coin's obverse bears the highly recognizable right-facing portrait of her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II against a nautical map graphic that makes up the background.
Not only do these coins have a unique shape, but they also have a remarkable proof-like finish. This means that even though the coin was not struck as a proof, it's brilliant and reflective finish has earned it the "proof-like" designation! The maximum worldwide mintage for this 2022 2oz proof-like silver Ocean Predators Killer Whale is limited to just 1500 pieces! In addition, each coin is engraved with its own individual serial number in the upper right-hand corner of the obverse side. All coins will come sealed in a custom acrylic holder and housed in its original mint packaging that consists of a themed display box accompanied by the Certificate of Authenticity. With so few coins available, here is your opportunity to add this exceptional piece to your collection today!
