Good luck is bounding your way for
2023, the Year of the Rabbit! Rose-gold plating highlights this gorgeous, truly rare (mintage just 888), one full troy ounce pure silver frosted cameo proof with two happy little bunnies under a cherry bush.
Celebrate the most happy Year of the Rabbit with this charming pure silver proof! The year 2023 is ruled by the sign of the Rabbit. The Rabbit personality is most likely to find true happiness. One can always count on the gracious Rabbit for good manners, kindness and sound counsel. He or she leads a tranquil existence and will do anything to avoid conflict. Don’t be fooled by the Rabbit’s soft and vulnerable exterior, however. This determined creature is actually quite strong and resilient. The Rabbit loves beautiful things,  knows what it wants, and knows how to get it!
Two cute little bunnies peek out from beneath a cherry bush on this exquisite proof finish coin, struck in one full troy ounce of pure silver. The cherry blossoms are gilded in rose gold, with the Chinese character for "rabbit" inset in a cartouche. There are no legends on the obverse, to further enhance this charming scene. Each coin resides in a handsome presentation case, protected by a full color outer box. An individually numbered certificate of authenticity is included. Best of all is the mintage—lucky number 888, very low for such a beautiful and affordable keepsake.
    The Year of the Rabbit
Centuries ago, the Chinese invented a calendar based on the lunar (rather than the solar) cycle. There are twelve animals in the Chinese lunar zodiac, each corresponding in sequence to a year rather than a month.
In 2023 we celebrate the Year of the Rabbit. According to tradition, people born during a Year of the Rabbit (1915, 1927, 1939, 1951, 1963, 1975, 1987, 1999, 2011 and 2023) are said to exhibit that animal’s attributes. They are sociable, amiable, and artistic, and are often shy, soft-spoken and cautious. They are often noted for their elegance and good taste. Rabbits can be moody, superficial and self-centered, as well.
    Obverse
Two cute rabbits hang out in the lee of a cherry tree, the cherry blossoms accented in rose gold. The Chinese character for "rabbit" is enclosed in a cartouche. There are no legends on the obverse to detract from the beauty of this charming vignette!
    Reverse
Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II, in crowned profile facing right. This portrait, featuring Her Majesty wearing a tiara and pearl earrings, was executed by the sculptor Ian Rank Broadley. The legend ELIZABETH II, the date of issue and denomination also appear, while the legend 1 OZ 999 SILVER guarantees the weight and purity.
    Packaging
The coin is encapsulated inside a luxurious clamshell-style presentation case, lined with black velvet and satin, and protected by a silver and black outer cardboard box. An individually-numbered certificate of authenticity is included.
The image of the back side of the certificate is a mint-supplied image intended for general reference only. The serial number in the image is NOT indicative of the serial number you will receive!
