Description
Item up for sale is the original complete April 23rd, 1995 edition of the New York Daily News which featured the recent arrest of loner Timothy McVeigh, the man responsible for the bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal building in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. A Ryder rental truck containing 5,000 lbs of explosives had been parked outside of the facility causing massage damage to it and extreme loss of life. 168 people would lose their life, among them 19 children. This act of homegrown terrorism would be the worst case of terrorism on U.S soil, until the attack upon the World Trade Center in New York City, six years later. This is a great keepsake and a reminder that harm can be initiated by those whom we least suspect, and often in a place and at a time when we believe that we are the safest.
