Description
Upgraded HP25 calculator. This was the first affordable (for me) programmable scientific calculator. This unit has average cosmetic wear and a bright display. Zipper case, battery pack, original charger, USB charging cable and printer included. This calculator has been upgraded in 2 important ways:It uses a high capacity NiMH battery pack. The current limiting resistor in the calculator has been changed to allow a slower, but safer charger for the NiMH batteries. Older NiCd batteries can still be used, but will charge more slowly. I’m including the original wall charger and a calculator charging cable that uses a common USB wall charger. The battery contacts (a weak point in this design) have been upgraded and strengthened.
This bundle includes the calculator, zipper pouch, Quick reference guide, Original charger, USB charging cable, HP82240b printer with batteries and wall power supply, owner's manual and extra paper and original box.
The original HP ACT Chip (Arithmetic / control / timing) has been upgraded to the Panamatik extended ACT chip. Full details are available at
Panamatik website. Look for HP25E ACT kit
. This chip essentially makes this calculator an HP25C, but MUCH more:
1)
Continuous memory
2)
Auto sleep mode – saves 33% power
3)
Built in stopwatch / chess clock
4)
The complete HP application program library of 54 programs is built in, and are easily recalled to program memory. There’s room to store 46 more user entered programs.
5)
Program memory is increased from 49 to 5000 steps, using chained programs
6)
Multitasking – execute a program in the background while still using the basic calculator
7)
20 common scientific physical constants are built in
8)
Easy decimal to hexadecimal to octal conversion
9)
IR Printing to HP 82240b printer (included). Print programs or trace calculations or program execution - just like the HP97. The IR diode is shown near the power connector
10)
Fun stuff – can display calculator type or a user definable greeting (You can program 'Hello' or another 15 character greeting). This one shows both 'Hello' and the 'HP-25 E IR;' default logo.
