A snarling sterling silver lion head hovers defensively over a black onyx tablet, which is surrounded by an engraved sterling silver frame. The expert craftsmen from Konstantino Jewelry forged the lion’s long, lush flowing mane and bared teeth with meticulous and finitely precise handcrafted detail. The midnight black onyx is polished to a highly reflective almost liquid-like mirror finish, because your devout faith in the Lord is, after all, a reflection upon yourself.
The midnight black onyx tablet itself features "ICXC NIKA" carved in ancient-Greek style into the black onyx stone. This is the traditional abbreviation, or Christogram, for "Jesus Christ Conquers," referencing His triumph over sin, death and the devil. A series of hand-imprinted dots form a cross that divides the letters into four sections. This piece is so authentically ancient in aesthetic, one would truly believe an Athenian artisan himself chiseled these markings… thousands and thousands of years ago. Details this complex and intricate (when done on a medium of sterling silver) are indeed an arduous task. Even the border of the pendant back is innately complex - with tiny details in the silver only visible if you look real… real close.
