An Out Of This World Design!
Our astronaut is on a spacewalk high above Earth. The American astronaut’s helmet is meticulously and accurately rendered in the frosted cameo relief of one full troy ounce of pure silver. The cold metal of the silver helmet contrasts sharply with the rich hues of space above. Down below on Earth, Europe is lit up at night as the sun sets over the horizon—all reflected in the astronaut's helmet glass. Limited to a mintage of only 999 worldwide, this exclusive numismatic work of art is presented in a handsome presentation box with individually numbered certificate of authenticity.
Technology Note
A new and innovative lacquered minting technique produces a high-gloss effect, allowing the astronaut’s visor to gleam like glass—the effect is realistic and uncanny. Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II, in crowned profile facing right. This portrait, featuring Her Majesty wearing a tiara and pearl earrings, was executed by the sculptor Ian Rank Broadley. The legend ELIZABETH II, the date of issue and denomination also appear, while the legend 1 OZ 999 SILVER guarantees the weight and purity.
Packaging
The coin is encapsulated inside a luxurious clamshell-style presentation case, lined with black velvet and satin, and protected by a full color outer cardboard box. An individually-numbered certificate of authenticity is included.
