    8/23/89 St. Paul Pioneer Press Newspaper Sports Section.  Nolan Ryan gets his 5,000th strikeout and still throws 96 mph.  Oakland's Rickey Henderson had the honor of being this milestone strikeout, swinging at a 3-2 outside fastball.  Nolan threw a complete game shutout, winning 2-0, finishing the night with 13 strikeouts and running his record to 14-8; box score inside.  He now has 5007 career strikeouts.  Complete sports section, 10 pages.  Very nice, see photo of the front page.   Shipped in a bubble-wrap envelope.
