  • Condition: Beautiful edition of the 2006 Perth Mint Gilt Dog. In its original Perth Mint compression capsule, which is in excellent condition with very few surface marks. (Surface marks are common on the Perth Mint lunar series capsules, but there are very few on this capsule, which speaks to the great care with which this coin has been handled and stored.) The gilding of the dog is, to our eyes, impeccable.

    Beautiful example of the Perth Mint's 2006 Lunar Series #1 Silver 1 Ounce, Gilt Dog coin.
    This coin features an image of the German Shepherd Dog that is impeccably accented with gold.
    The coin comes in its original Perth Mint, protective compression capsule, which is in excellent condition with very few of the surface scratches that are common on the Perth Mint Lunar Coin plastic capsules.
    We have used the umbrella KM number for the 2006 Perth Mint 1 ounce Year of the Dog coin. It does not appear that a separate KM number was created for the gilded version of this coin, which was released in a very limited quantity.
    We have never opened the capsule, and the coin appears to be in superb condition. (While we are not professional coin graders, we have seen many coins, and this one appears to us to be really nice. We understand that our view is subjective and that different people see different things. But we think the buyer will be pleased with this coin.)
