    Available is this pair of vintage Japanese Foo dogs.  Also known as Shishi or Lion Guardians - they are a Buddhist symbol of protection.  They are in the Satsuma style with raised decoration.  They measure approx 6.5 inches tall and are 6 inches long.  In good condition, with no chips, cracks or damage.  The base of each has an incised chop mark and one has original paper label.  They are Kutani and have lovely detail.
