  • Condition: Stored flat in smoke-free, dry storage since 1980 (42 years ago). Every included page excerpted from the original paper is shown in the photos. Some fraying and small rips along the top edges. A 2-inch long slit in the center of the 1st page could easily be taped. Newsprint aging typical for its age. The Commemorative Tanzania Stamp set, COA, and 100 facts pamplet are unused and still in their original plastic sleeve. The Playboy Lennon/Ono interview pages are cut from the magazine and stapled together. They show typical light wear. I have attempted to describe these items to the best of my ability. Please look at the photos and ask any specific questions/reservations prior to purchasing, since these items are from my personal collection, I am not a newspaper dealer, and I don't accept returns.     DESCRIPTION OF ITEMS:
    1) December 9, 1980 Grand Rapids Press John Lennon assassination and memorial issue;
    8-page excerpt
    (2 complete approximately 23
    inch tall x 30 inch wide
    sheets)
    from the original newspaper, including the
    headline page and others containing John Lennon tribute.
    This newspaper was bought new by me on this very sad day and stored folded in a smoke-free, dry environment since 1980 (42 years ago). Every page of the paper that is included is shown in the photos. Some fraying and small rips along the top edges from storage. A 2-inch long slit in the center of the 1st page could easily be taped. The newsprint paper has aged typical for its age.
    2) John Lennon: 1995 Tanzania Postage 9 Stamp Set with Certificate of Authenticity (COA) & 100 Lennon Facts pamphlet.
    Commemorative Tanzania Stamp Set is unused and still in its original plastic sleeve.
    3) January 1981 Playboy 18-page interview with John Lennon and Yoko Ono.  The entire John and Yoko interview was cut from the original January, 1981 issue of Playboy Magazine and stapled together. They show typical light wear from reading.

    SHIPPING:
    The newspaper will be shipped double-folded (like it was stored) around a thick piece of corrugated cardboard and white letter paper for protection. This wrapping will then be further sealed in plastic bags. The playboy article and stamps will also be sealed in a ziploc bag and the entire contents then sandwiched between two pieces of cardboard inside the 16x12 bubble mailing envelope.
    To protect the contents while removing from the packaging, please be careful not to cut too deeply into the protective packing.

    The buyer is responsible to pay the eBay-calculated shipping charge shown at purchase.
